Visit the Japanese Garden in St. Mawgan village near Newquay & discover an oasis of tranquillity , 1.5 miles from the North coast, 6 miles east of Newquay, where East meets West in this unique garden.Open 1st March until 31st October. 7 days a week, 10am until 6pm, last entrance to the garden at 5pm.

It is a place of tranquillity with a variety of plants and water features, where visitors can enjoy the wonder of nature in a peaceful, relaxing space. The garden was built as a meditative garden, where one can calm the mind & let go of unwanted stress through contemplation & reflection.

Set in approximately 1 acre, the Water, Stroll, Moss & Zen gardens offer a unique experience – both physical & spiritual. Stand on the bridge or Teahouse balcony, watch the fish glide by, listen to the waterfall tumbling into the pool.

Sit in the Zen viewing house silently contemplating the rock-scape, or stroll the myriad paths, absorbing the sights & smells of the beautiful azaleas, spectacular Japanese maples & much more. A journey through this garden is an experience to remember. Specialist Bonsai & Japanese Garden Nurseries, occupy approx. one acre, adjacent to the garden.
